Meet Zac Blanchard

Zac is a dad, a Marine veteran, a neighborhood association president, and a high school football coach.

Zac is a devoted father, Marine veteran, and an influential figure in the Baltimore community. Originally from South Louisiana and an alumnus of the Naval Academy, Zac dedicated eight years to serving in the US Marine Corps. During his tenure, he spent the final three years imparting knowledge on American Government and mentoring future Marines at the Naval Academy. Now, Zac holds the position of President of Federal Hill Neighborhood Association, and vice President for Economic Development at the Midtown Community Benefits District. In this role, he collaborates with Baltimore City Government, neighborhood leaders, and various stakeholders to enhance the living, working, and recreational conditions in Mount Vernon, Madison Park, Bolton Hill, and Charles North.

Zac, alongside his wife Alexa and their baby Jude, resides near Cross St Market in Baltimore, where they are active members of the Catholic Community of South Baltimore. He leads the Federal Hill Neighborhood Association as its president and block captain chair, and also serves as the Design Committee chair of Federal Hill Main Street, contributing significantly to the local community. Through Zac's commitment and efforts to the community, Baltimore has already seen positive changes. He's started multiple annual events for the neighborhood and local school, initiated a church softball team that had over 60 players this past spring, helped double the size of the high school’s football program, and helped coordinate neighbors to pressure elected officials to shut down a neighborhood establishment that had two shootings, two stabbings, and other serious crime.

As an active member of Baltimore People-Oriented Places (BaltPOP), Zac is deeply committed to fostering a safer, more vibrant Baltimore. Under his leadership, he champions initiatives aimed at reducing violence, creating empowering programs for youth, and diminishing the prevalence of abandoned homes. Zac believes that by addressing these issues, Baltimore can transform into a desirable place for families to thrive. His efforts are driven by a desire to see policies implemented that genuinely benefit the community, beyond the constraints of political barriers. Zac's dedication to public service and community development reflects his vision for a better, more inclusive Baltimore.

Zac is working to make Baltimore a city of neighborhoods that our

neighbors want to stay in

kids will want to raise their kids in.

and that our
